Dear Members, Welcome to our summer newsletter. There’s been quite a bit of activity and we wanted to keep you posted by providing a review of Foundation giving and the needs served. Rest assured, our employees are grateful for your generosity and appreciative of the much needed help.
Employee applications for the past 18 months were at an all time high and quite varied.
Education grants in 2023 aided 16 employees. This year through June 30, we aided 15 employees. Congratulations are in order to those who completed their work and are in order to those who completed their work and graduated.
In 2023, we aided 27 employees in other areas and during this year’s first half, the total was 12 employees.
Other areas include:
- Funeral assistance
- Car repairs/replacement
- Medical and dental services
- Debt consolidation
- Lost wages
- Moving expenses
- Legal fees
In total, we expended $225,849 in loans and grants. As previously stated, this figure represents a historical high. We want to thank the many members whose donations made all of the above possible and hope you will continue to do so. To those of you reading this letter who are learning of our activities please consider giving to this very worthwhile cause.
