How We Work

Critical steps in employee application process:

Step 1

Employee sends signed financial assistance application to Screening Committee Chair.

Step 2

Screening Committee member is selected to serve as Case Officer through approval process.

Step 3

Case Officer discusses request with immediate supervisor, human resources manager and payroll dept.

Step 4

Case Officer meets personally with applicant to get further understanding of employee’s needs.

Step 5

A report is developed for Screening Committee consideration where approval/rejection decision is made.

Step 6

In the case of loans, Case Officer meets with applicant to discuss and secure agreement on terms. Employee (and possible co-signer) sign promissory note.

Step 7

Employee is expected to provide receipts/proof of payment for approved use.
